My History

After working in the world of professional football, John decided to return to his Worcestershire roots to make available the treatments that were available to international football players, professional dancers amongst others, to the residents of Worcestershire, the County of his birth. After growing up on the outskirts of Kidderminster in Chaddesley Corbett which is in the county of Worcestershire, John then moved closer to Kidderminster to the hamlet of Stone, not far from the well-known Stone Manor Hotel.  From there he moved to the Arley Kings area of Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire.  To complete residence in all three towns of the Wyre Forest area John has lived in Bewdley, Worcestershire Close to the river Severn for the last 20 years (With another few years of residence he hopes one day to be called a local!!).

Sophie Cooke - Associate Physiotherapist

Hello, I’m Sophie!

I’ve been part of the Midlands Physio team for over three years, working as an associate physiotherapist with a passion for helping my patients stay active and achieve their goals. My specialisms include gait scanning, orthotics, and return to running programmes—perfect for those looking to get back on their feet or enhance their performance.

Outside of work, I’m an avid netball player, regularly representing Kidderminster Carolions and Bluebirds Netball Club. Staying active is a core part of who I am, and I love inspiring the same in my patients.

I am currently completing my training as a BSc Hons Chartered Physiotherapist at UCB, with plans to graduate in the summer of 2025. Alongside this, I have also completed sports massage courses, which complement my physiotherapy practice and allow me to offer a more holistic approach to patient care. I regularly attend events and presentations to stay up to date with the latest evidence, ensuring the best outcomes for my patients.

I’m here to support you every step of the way on your journey to recovery and beyond!

Lindsay Taylor - Associate Physiotherapist & Sports Therapist

Hi, I’m Lindsay!

I have been a proud member of the Midlands Physio team for the past seven years, where I have dedicated myself to helping people achieve their physical goals. My journey as a qualified BSc (Hons) Sports Therapist has been deeply rewarding, driven by my passion for understanding and supporting the human body. Recently, I’ve taken a big step in returning to education, training to become a BSc (Hons) Chartered Physiotherapist. Through further training I have deepened my knowledge in musculoskeletal (MSK) and neurological conditions, two areas I find fascinating and crucial.

In addition to my work at Midlands Physio, I’ve been involved with Bromsgrove Rugby Football Club for an amazing 12 years. Supporting such a dynamic and dedicated team has been an invaluable experience, combining my love for sports with my expertise in injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Whether I’m on the field, in clinic or hitting the books, I’m driven by a passion for making a positive difference in people’s lives.

Tom Jones - Chartered Physiotherapist

Hi, I’m Tom!

I am a Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist with over two years of experience at Midlands Physio. Specialising in the treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, I am dedicated to helping my patients regain independence and return to full fitness. Whether it’s recovering from an injury, surgery, or managing a long-term condition, I take pride in guiding individuals back to their active lives.

Beyond my professional work, I have a strong passion for football. My interest in the sport provides me with an understanding of sports-related injuries, and I enjoy applying this knowledge to support athletes and active individuals in achieving their rehabilitation goals. My commitment to personalised care, paired with my background in sports, enables me to deliver effective, tailored treatments that promote long-term recovery and wellness.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury or looking to improve your physical well-being, I am here to help you every step of the way.
